One controversy surrounding fighting games for the computer is whether or not they are suitable for children. There are those who believe that this kind of game causes children to act violently and therefore most fighting games are rated so that they are only for players who meet a certain age requirement. However, some fighting games are rated as appropriate for younger players as is the case with karate games, for example. In the end the parents are responsible for deciding to let their children play fighting games or not.
